Biography
Alexandra Standing MA BMus (Hons) DipABRSM
Alex is an active award-winning pianist based in London. She graduated with distinction from the Royal Academy of Music, where she won several prizes including the Marjorie Thomas Art of Song prize and the Arthur Hervey award. She specialises in working with singers, as well as playing classical and classical-crossover solo piano.
Collaborations with new composers and groups such as the BBC Singers has led to broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. She has performed at venues including the Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall and regularly works at the Royal Academy of Music.
Alex is based in London and enjoys a varied performing and teaching career. She regularly freelances as a pianist with ensembles including the BBC Singers and performs regularly with singer Laura Wright.
Alex also works part-time as a Pianist and Piano Adviser at Coach House Pianos.
